Christmas at Ayaas Prayas was filled with joy, confidence, and meaningful expression. Children from the community came together at the Ayaas Prayas campus and the nearby locality in Jasola, South Delhi, to celebrate the festival with energy and purpose.
The highlight of the day was a powerful Nukkad Natak performed twice on the theme “Uphaar”, reflecting the challenges women face across different roles and how they rise stronger with courage and self-belief. The performance not only built confidence among the students but also sparked thoughtful conversations within the community.
The celebrations continued with a lively dance performance as kids brought the stage alive with Bhangra moves set to Punjabi Christmas songs. Laughter and cheer followed as everyone joined in singing classic Christmas carols.
Adding to the festive spirit, children enjoyed Christmas treats including burgers, fries, pulpy orange drinks, along with candies, muffins, and samosas shared during the day.
This celebration was more than a festival. It was a reminder of how education, creativity, and encouragement can empower first-generation learners and spread happiness where it matters most.
